I have worked with Libby in the Geriatric field since 2001. With a Corporate position for decades, I have yet to collaborate with anyone else that comes close to having Libby's extensive qualifications. I have seen her navigate seniors and their families through some of the most complex medical situations. Libby has a considerable amount of knowledge of every aspect of the medical system. Her knowledge base spans hospitals, nursing homes, skilled rehabs, Hospice, Assisted Livings, group homes, Senior community-based services, and specialty/primary Physician groups. Libby has always been a wonderful advocate for Seniors despite their insurance types or how challenging the situation might be. I was thrilled to become aware that she was opening Guiding Seniors. September 2023 was my family's first foray into the Medicare System. My mom broke her ankle and was hospitalized in mid September. They decided not to do surgery; she was 85 years old. 30 days at this hospital, two weeks in a rehab, back to the hospital, then another, then a rehab.
It was all very emotional, stressful and confusing for my father, who was handling everything along with my sister. Then my mom was approved for birth control through the Medicare System. Wait, what? She's 85 years old!
That's when I scheduled a consultation with Libby to unravel the tangled web of Medicare. She saw that "approval" and knew exactly what the next steps were. She guided my dad through the correct next steps with superb detail, knowledge and compassion.
